Ingredients:
For the waffles:
- 1 1/2 cups wholemeal flour
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt

Preparation:
- Prepare the waffle batter:
- Mix the wholemeal flour, oats, baking powder, salt and sugar thoroughly in a large bowl.
- In another bowl, whisk together the milk, oil or melted butter, eggs and vanilla extract.
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until everything is well combined, but do not stir for too long.
- Bake waffles:
- Preheat your waffle iron and grease it lightly.
- Pour enough batter onto the waffle iron to cover the waffle plates and close the iron.
